FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long do I stay?

Duration of treatment depends on each person; our treatment plans are customized to fit your specific needs. We will work with you to determine an appropriate length of stay. Our program is designed to phase down as you progress, so you will become increasingly independent throughout the treatment program—but will always know you have the support you need when you need it. Typical length of time is anywhere from 30 to 90 days.

How does the rehabilitation program work?

Florida Recovery Group’s scheduling and addiction treatment services are highly individualized and will be customized to each person. Depending on which phase of the program you enter, you will progress through a series of steps designed to support you in the best way possible for each stage of recovery. During the highest-level of support (PHP), your life will be focused on recovery activities and you will spend roughly 25 hours per week in groups and therapy. During the next phase (IOP), you can start working in a job, but will balance that with group and individual therapy (at least 9 hours per week). When you step down to OP, you will be busy working and living your life, but spend at least 1-3 hours a week at our office for counseling and support. Finally, you begin the Aftercare phase, with minimal therapeutic activities but constant availability of support. We will help you with general life management at each phase of treatment, for example helping you find a job and then find suitable living arrangements when you are ready to leave our facility.

What other services are offered to help my recovery?

In addition to therapeutic and medical services, Florida Recovery Group has massage therapy, nutritional counseling, gym access, meditation, exercise classes, weight loss/nutritional counseling, transportation, and more.

Where will I live?

Clients entering our program either start out in our PHP house or one of our FARR approved sober living houses. All of our Delray Beach locations have outdoor video cameras, DirectTV and WiFi. Some houses have either 24/7 techs or live in managers. Anytime potential clients tour our facility or any of our properties they all have the same response… “Wow!”

Where will I work?

We offer job placement services to help you find employment. Where you work depends on your background and skillset. Our career services staff will work with you to create a resume and find a job suited to your interests, goals, and skills.

What if I've never had a job? Or what if I have a bad job track record?

Then you will fit right in. Many addicted individuals have had trouble maintaining suitable employment. It is a consequence of addiction. We will help you find an entry-level job or one that fits your skillset. We also have clients with impressive resumes and backgrounds and can help them find employment tailored to their needs, as well.

What is Delray Beach like?

Delray Beach is unofficially referred to as, “the recovery capital of the world.” It has a thriving sober community, 12-step meetings around the clock, and many support systems in place for people recovering from addictions. It also boasts beautiful weather and a plethora of cultural activities. Our facility is less than two miles from the beach and 5 blocks from bustling downtown Delray.

Can I see my family?

Yes. Your relationship with your family is considered one of the most important aspects of your recovery. We will work with you to support a healthy interaction with your loved ones. We also offer skype/video conference sessions at all of our properties as well.

How do meals work?

Our PHP program has all meals catered for clients 7 days a week. If entering our IOP or OP program, clients are expected to supply their own food. We help assist with Florida state food cards and many times families will set up an FRG food account. We also offer catered meals during each IOP session. Clients prepare their own meals. We have a nutritionist to help with meal planning and meeting your nutritional goals. We also offer transportation to the grocery store. We provide transportation between our offices (where therapy occurs) and the residences (where clients live) so they have time to prepare meals and eat between groups.

What if I have an eating disorder or past issues with food?

Our nutritionist will help with meal planning. Your therapist can help with the underlying issues you are struggling with. Many clients come to us with eating issues. Help is available and recovery is possible!

Do you provide transportation?

Yes, we provide free transportation. Our twelve passenger van takes clients to therapy groups, 12-step meetings, publix, gym, and other places they need to buy lunesta online. We work with each client to develop an individual plan for getting to work everyday once they are at the outpatient level of care.

What if I have legal issues?

Florida Recovery Group works with local attorneys and courts to provide drug and alcohol treatment as an alternative to jail time and other penalties. We also work with “impaired professionals” (doctors, nurses, lawyers, and other licensed professionals) facing legal/professional consequences of addiction.
